Figtree's Josh Tunbridge presents the Tunbridge Medal for 1st Grade B&F to co-winner Scott Phillips of Kiama.
Figtree Senior footy arrived at Figtree Oval on 10th April 2010.
Within only a few months of deciding to enter a team we had a great day, just.....
With jumpers arriving on Friday and heavy rain preventing the installation of goal posts and threatening to close the ground it looked like everything was going wrong. However on Saturday the sun came out everything came together.
Thanks to all the officials, players, sponsors and supporters who helped make Figtree AFC a reality and the day such a success for footy in the Illawarra.
As for the game it was an entertaining contest with only three points in it to half time. Figtree kicked away in the third and looked to be setting themselves for a victory in their first ever game. However it wasn't meant to be and Port were dominant in the last quarter as their experience and match fitness showed.
