Roberto was introduced to Figtree AFC this year by our loyal Senior Coach, Ash Cairnduff.
Roberto has been an enormous help to the senior teams both at training and on game day. He has taken on the role of 'water boy' at training and during the senior games; something that everyone of the senior players has truly appreciated. At the start of the year, Roberto was a little bit hesitant about where he was allowed to be on the field, but as we post this message, Roberto is probably the first 'newby' NOT to give away a penalty during his first year! Roberto’s downside is that he is an avid Cats supporter, though Tumbo reckons that’s quite alright.

Big congratulations to one of our Auskickers. Finn Ardita, who won the Sherrin Footy in our raffle for MS. Thanks to all who bought a ticket to raise money for a worthy cause.Dustbowl joined our Club this year as a volunteer to help with our home game BBQ’s and club fundraisers.
His connection to the club is that he was coached by Ray Tunbridge (Grandfather of Josh) at Port Kembla in the 1970’s. Dustbowl was a tough and gritty fullback and played in Port Kembla's premiership winning side in 1975; the first year of the Senior Illawarra AFL competition. If you have a spare hour or two, ask him how Port beat Wollongong by one point in the Grand Final after being beaten by them by 30 goals in the first game of the year, and by 10 goals in the major semi-final. Dustbowl is a selfless volunteer for our club, and has been an integral part of making our home game and Bunnings BBQ's a great success this season. Well done Dustbowl. Your contribution to our club is very much appreciated and we hope to listen to many more 'stories around the BBQ'.
